Cable tv is WAY too expensive!

So for the past two years or so i have had Digital Cable, DVR, and an extra channel package so i could watch the english premier league. Back in november i added 12mb internet to my comcast service. Well then my bill spiked to about 120.00 bux a month. Last month i had enough, dropped my DVR service, dropped digital cable down to basic cable, and dropped the extra channels that i had.
Due to technicalities beyond Comcast's control, i now get about 100 channels, and 12mb internet from them for 25 bux a month. Even after my promo price on my internet is over next month the bill will only be about 45-55 bux a month. That means had i not dropped that my bill would have been about 160 a month. All to watch tv, and surf the internet.
Why the hell does the price go up every year when technology prices go down each year. There really is no excuse for it other then greed. Yes the channels want more and more each year because they think they are special. But My DVR service was 15 bux a month to start out. That was fine, but then the next year its 20. Why? I didnt get any more features, i didnt get any new equipment, why jack the price up?
I am about to build a home theater PC that will have 10x the storage, and cost about the same as all the other DVR systems out there. Then i can surf the web, check email, and watch my favorite shows all from my computer while recording all my favorite shows.
