Growing more as a loner.
I can't wait to get home, see friends family and the like. I'm not a materialistic person but I want to see my stuff more then much else honestly. While I don't have much what I do have I like a lot, hence I keep it around. I've gone with out it for so long.
The memories and fun put in with many things build a bond to me, and much like a friend I desire to spend time with them. I can not wait to load my Mosin. I want to fire up the welder and get progress on the tr3-a. Back home there is a wonderful gi ... ( more)

Old school stuff
New stuff is impressive, what people can engineer always shocks me, we went to the moon, can measure how hot the sun is, clone living things, the list keeps going as I'm sure you know.
Such wonders from the littlest faucets of life, if you step back and think of it. Personally I think it's cool, but I tend to stray from most. It's cool, but something doesn't sit well with me.
A lot of things are better and I do respect and enjoy the advancements, but some kind of edge is lost with them. Craftsmanship ... ( more)

Loss of privacy.
People give out information with far too much ease.
People love to gripe about privacy being taken away, and are more then thrilled to offer it up to strangers companies etc.
I went for a hair cut the other day. They wanted my first and last name, home address and phone number. I tried being nice with "I don't feel comfortable sharing it". I got a dirty look, why because not telling you where the hell I live is worth not joining mailing list for a 2 dollar coupon.
I even had to say "Do you want my ... ( more)

Religious/anti babbles
Ok for this blog I think i'll bring back an good old fashioned rant, it's been a while so why not?
You know what's really pissing me off as of late? Atheists vs Theists and all that bull shit. Mostly it's Christen bashing, since the wasp is a creature of pure evil (another rant on that at a later date).
Both groups disagree, it's a shock I know. But both groups can not freaking go with out labeling the other group as a full extreme.
Don't think Jesus is real? Everyone else who does that too is ou ... ( more)

Grumpy
This might be a shock to some of you, but I am a grump.
I don't follow pop culture, I don't do the social thing. I don't attempt to fit in. I just go to work work out then it's reading/movies time for me. I'm fine with that.
It's not really the rat race if you aren't running, I'm just using the school not to stand out so to say. I have a great career lined up and a bunch of jobs waiting, money will never be an issue in my life. That's nice to know, I don't mind not spending it. I enjoy saving and inv ... ( more)

Change Clothes (and go)
Changing wardrobe,
I always have been a total formal wear snob, I have a collection of suits that would shame most of the fortune 500's CEOs.
When it came to daily ware I've not much put thought into it, I didn't dress like a bum but not much better.
Well, now my work is business casual (what ever that means I see jeans and blazers and all in between). I've stepped all my clothing up. I do dress a very classic style over all.
I'm the only person I know my age let alone most any age whom still w ... ( more)

Walks of life.
One part of interning I never thought I'd love so much was being anonymous. I no longer stick out. While I'm the only one here who works with a drive, wearing a personally designed suit that was tailored and quietest out side of co workers, no one even knows I am alive. I'm no longer someone people hide from, like I was consulting. I haven't had to raise my voice here once, nor did I expect a disgruntled employee to swing on me. Down side is I am not paid as well nor are all the shots mine to call.
I lik ... ( more)

Things no longer last.
The lack of lasting.
Nothing lasts for ever is the old saying, that rings truer day by day. Some things we humans have invented are meant to last life times. They don't, others are meant to last as it's that important but we have ways to sneak around that anymore, so you get to break the contract with no down sides or at least getting your self away from it.
Laser tattoo removal, divorce, consumer products, all of them last shorter and shorter. We don't care anymore since we can get away from them. Th ... ( more)

Workaholic
Part of my interning time I set a personal goal for my self was figure out what I live for. Soul searching so to speak.
It didn't take me long, and as cliche as it is, it was just under my nose the whole time. For more fun cliches; you don't know what you got till it's gone.
I've been lied to my whole life. Work is not just work, it's not what pays the bills and eats up your free time. Work is all I am, my entire self is my labor and trade. It's a passion. My corporation was me, needed something don ... ( more)

Single Shots.
There is a certain lure to me when it comes to single shot weapons. The care require to wield one the vintage layout and high attention to detail and it's best quality to hold one round, but hold it well.
Most single shot weapons tend to be a powerful cartridge, one that would often scramble the innards of a self loading or assisted loaded weapon.
While any good shooter goes into the zone so to speak while planning and taking a single shot, the whole single shot lay out seems to help the mind.
You ... ( more)

Work Drama
I'm already being tested at work, I like that. One month in and they seem to be pulling the stops out. I always have been wanting to test my metal. Today my boss took me aside and started to ream me about last weeks work, well it wasn't my fault who gave me the numbers f'ed up.
I thought i'd pass the proof and walk away. No, not what he had in mind. After finding out it wasn't my fault. I was informed, I had to chew out this guy. So really I had to yell at another boss. Problem is, he's a boss. I'm an i ... ( more)

co wankers.... workers
This whole working with people thing is really messing with my head.
I'm not the kind to get suckered into social circles or put work pals above the job and my own spot.
I've always been a work first kinda guy. Working alone so long and being an "axeman" was perfect. I worked on my time, and was more then happy to cut someone else's benefits. While I wouldn't list a single person at work a chum even, I know their names and bits of info. I know these people, they are my team mates, co workers. I think ... ( more)

Social Contracts
Anyone who's taken a pysche or anthropology class knows of the social contract concept, simply put : it's the deal of rewards and repercussions on behavior in society.
We have personal ones as well between friends family significant others co workers etc.
The concept of this seems to be sliding as society grows more selfish and clueless. You know who someone is and what society asks for, don't conform, you know the costs. That's how things work, why throw a wrench in it? It's not making things better ... ( more)

Writing
I often write just to write, sometimes share a funny story others to vent joke or just do something to keep me busy.
I suck at it and enjoy it. I hold no real desire to become a professional or work with writing so really I don't do much to improve myself. I mean I try to make it readable but I'm not after a book deal or award.
Very rarely out of my writing do I share any, and 90% of what's shared is posted on this very blog. To be frank I have no idea who really reads this or keeps up, if any of you ... ( more)

The never ending shock of lower order beings buying into branding.
Anyone with an ounce of brain cell understands in some cases some brands hold them selves to a higher standard then the normal makers, and are rewarded with prestige for it. For example Ferrari not only do you get arguably the best automobile made the way they treat the customer the service and the name alone, even none car people know a Ferrari is "whats up"
I explain a positive branding as this. Are all ferraris great? ok, so bad analogy as i've never not enjoyed an F car in my limited times in them (t ... ( more)

I enjoy blogging like off the paper so to speak, I don't edit or formalize it, I am not a pro writer I just write socially in this space, so yea sorry if that caught you off guard.
Well after my move things have been a total flipped upside down, like that time I got into one little fight and my mom got scared and shipped me off to……

Heck of a year so far...
As 2010's first month cranks down to the end. It's been a rough one but good. Lots of changes big ones, they are mostly good but still bring stress and well changes.
I have 5 interviews next week I'm almost locked into one job already but, never know.
I'll be moving for all of the jobs, big moves closest (also a snowball's chance in hell) I'll be going to NYC.

Well, I messed up pretty bad the other night and pretty much ruined a friendship, a very close one at that.
Sucks but was my own doing.
I think most people know I'm a bit different but I'm just one of the guys. Well, that is true, but I suffer from hard core depressive problems.
Some of you know this I just never kinda put it out there.
I'm not going to change I'm still me, I just look back on the mistake I made the other night and wanted to put that out there to everyone.

My Travel Plans for 2011
There really is no point to this post other than to say im planning on going to London next year. Its not going to be cheap, but i want to go for a week. Rates are cheaper from november to march so it wont be the warmest but not horrible.
My extent of international travel has been dismal at best. When i was about 12 i went to Toronto overnight with my mom once when my dad was the pilot for the flight. Went to Calgary in college for about 4 days for a Fraternity convention. Finally, i went to Monterrey, M ... ( more)

Fired up an old comp and old life.
Well I dug out my trusty Desktop that's been nothing more then a back up and storage whore for me for years.
I figured, it kinda works I should goof with it.
It's kinda funny a computer is the closest we have to time capsules anymore. I opened my old school (yet still awesome) winamp with the final fantasy 1 skin.
It's fun to see the music I was listening to from 7-2 years ago. I think this thing might be older then that.
This comp ties me to many memories. This is the box that I first logged on ... ( more)

Fuck this year.
Fuck it running, fuck it like a creepy step uncle on a adopted ginger.
I grew up a lot this year, I'm thankful for that. I've been left running more then one family, work has been such a cluster of misery. Bounced around socially lost so many friends because I've been locked into school and work.

World Series Blog Game 5.
PHL 8
NYY 6
Phillies eeked out of loosing it all at home tonight.
I used the word eek as squandering a 6 run lead at one point to a mere two is a major sign of shakiness.
This does show 2 things how fast a team can catch up or run away with a lead. Today's game it happens.
It also shows I was right for once, once hitting starts it will not stop.
Chase Utely had a nice home run record tied while Ryan Howard tied the not so great record for World Series strike outs. Giving up a power hitter l ... ( more)

ugh.
Blanton had a rough start and kinda picked it back up, not a great showing though.
Short rest didn't seem to hurt the starter for the bombers, CC pitched a heck of a game again.
Well bats are heating up on both sides.
Phillies just got out played hate to say it but that's what happened.
Phillies are in due or die mode down 1-3 in the series now. Tomorrow night a rested Cliff Lee pitches vs a short rest AJ.
The Yankees really have pressed and stretched their bull pen. ... ( more)

Cole WTF.
I'm watching this game and Hamels is killing it. He was on fire then a home run and it all went to crap.
I do think I should word it nicer to remove bias but, fuck it I am not a pro blogger or writer I'll admit I want the phils to win. So I'm upset.
Andy threw a fine game. Well enough to out to Cole.
Both teams hit up bull pens to finish it out. I think the Yanks did more long term damage then we phils did for this game.

Who's your daddy?
I guess AJ? Maybe?
Tonight both starting pitchers did well enough, most thought Burnett would falter giving an easy win to Perdo. This did not happen if anything he out played Pedro, I don't think he was expecting that either.
After giving up a solo home run to Teixeria we saw old Pedro, whipping balls close to vent some anger, not even worried if he sends one into a bombers belly.
Hiting is just not happening during this series….. yet, too many cold bat ... ( more)

World Series Ramblings.
Being born in North NJ I didn't have much a chance or option to like any other team then the New York Yankees. Tales of my grandfather seeing the team, the '29 Yankees play.
After moving to South East Pa the home team was the Phillies, and god out side of 93 what a rough team to be a fan for, so much so the child hood stories came back and I stuck to family roots and rooted for the Blue Pinstripes.

I've been so over loaded as late I write to apologize to everyone who I've lost touch with in the past year or so, too much is going on.
Things that have happened I've not dreamed even possible let alone probable.
With real life kicking me so hard in good and bad ways net time suffers, really for most all here that's the only way we are in touch. I don't own a phone because I'm a cheap anti social bastard who's never seen the need for constant contact.
